Ingredients

  • Ground beef (kosher) - 300 grams
  • Teriyaki sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Fresh ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns (kosher) - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, brush the remaining 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce over the patties to glaze them.
  5. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the teriyaki beef patty, a dollop of mayonnaise, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Top with the other half of the bun.
