Ingredients

  • Cooked octopus - 150 grams, thinly sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
  • Rice vinegar - 30 ml
  • Soy sauce - 10 ml
  • Sesame oil - 5 ml
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Nori seaweed - 1 sheet, cut into small strips (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the sliced octopus and julienned cucumber to the bowl, tossing gently to coat them in the dressing.
  3. Let the mixture marinate for about 10 minutes in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Before serving, sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the top and add nori strips if using.
  5. Serve chilled as a refreshing appetizer.
