Ingredients

  • Fresh octopus - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sake - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Cherry tomatoes - 6, halved
  • Bell pepper - 1, cut into cubes
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Prepare the octopus by cleaning it thoroughly and cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  3. Add the octopus pieces to the marinade and let them soak for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the octopus marinates, soak the skewers in water to prevent burning during grilling.
  5. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Thread the marinated octopus, cherry tomatoes, and bell pepper cubes onto the soaked skewers alternately.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the octopus is cooked through and slightly charred.
  8. Once cooked, remove from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
