Ingredients

  • Cucumber - 1 medium
  • Carrot - 1 small
  • Daikon radish - 100 grams
  • Rice vinegar - 60 ml
  • Soy sauce (Halal) - 15 ml
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon (15 grams)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (2 grams)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (10 grams)
  • Nori (seaweed) - 1 sheet, cut into strips

Steps

  1. Wash the cucumber, carrot, and daikon radish thoroughly.
  2. Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, thinly slice the cucumber, carrot, and daikon radish.
  3. In a bowl, combine the rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and salt, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add the sliced vegetables to the bowl and toss gently to coat them in the dressing.
  5. Let the salad marinate for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle sesame seeds and nori strips on top for garnish.
