- Napa cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
- Green onions, sliced - 2 stalks
- Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Sake (halal alternative) - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 500 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the sliced beef to the skillet, cooking until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- Stir in the shiitake mushrooms, napa cabbage, and green onions, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar until well combined. Pour this sauce into the skillet with the beef and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
