Ingredients

  • Halal beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
  • Enoki mushrooms - 100 grams, trimmed
  • Napa cabbage - 200 grams, chopped
  • Tofu - 150 grams, firm, cubed
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, cut into 5 cm lengths
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Sukiyaki sauce - 100 ml
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Mirin - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Prepare all the ingredients by slicing the beef, mushrooms, and vegetables, and cubing the tofu.
  2. In a large pot, combine the water, sukiyaki sauce, mirin, soy sauce, and sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Add the beef slices to the pot and cook until they change color, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the shiitake and enoki mushrooms, napa cabbage, carrot, and tofu to the pot. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Finally, add the green onions and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot in bowls, allowing each person to enjoy the ingredients with some of the broth.
