Ingredients
- Halal beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
- Enoki mushrooms - 100 grams, trimmed
- Napa cabbage - 200 grams, chopped
- Tofu - 150 grams, firm, cubed
- Green onions - 2 stalks, cut into 5 cm lengths
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Sukiyaki sauce - 100 ml
- Water - 500 ml
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Prepare all the ingredients by slicing the beef, mushrooms, and vegetables, and cubing the tofu.
- In a large pot, combine the water, sukiyaki sauce, mirin, soy sauce, and sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the beef slices to the pot and cook until they change color, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the shiitake and enoki mushrooms, napa cabbage, carrot, and tofu to the pot. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Finally, add the green onions and simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Serve hot in bowls, allowing each person to enjoy the ingredients with some of the broth.
