Ingredients
- fresh sushi-grade tuna - 200 grams
- panko breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- sriracha - 1 tablespoon
- sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- egg - 1 large
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- burger buns - 2
- wasabi paste - 1 teaspoon
- mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- arugula - 50 grams
- sliced cucumber - 50 grams
Steps
- Finely chop the sushi-grade tuna and place it in a mixing bowl.
- Add the panko breadcrumbs, chopped green onion, soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, egg, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil. Once hot, cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the wasabi mayo by combining wasabi paste and mayonnaise in a small bowl.
- Toast the burger buns in the same skillet until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading wasabi mayo on the bottom bun, adding the tuna patty, a handful of arugula, and sliced cucumber. Top with the other half of the bun.
