Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic until smooth.
- Dice the salmon fillet into small pieces and fold it into the cream cheese mixture along with the chopped green onions.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to fit a pie dish (approximately 28 cm in diameter).
- Place half of the rolled puff pastry in the pie dish, allowing the edges to overhang.
- Spoon the salmon mixture into the pastry-lined pie dish, spreading it evenly.
- Cover the filling with the other half of the puff pastry, sealing the edges by crimping them together.
- Cut a few slits in the top pastry to allow steam to escape and brush the surface with the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle black sesame seeds on top for added texture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped cilantro.
