Ingredients

  • Soba noodles - 100 grams
  • Vegetable oil - 100 milliliters
  • Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Nori (seaweed) flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Wasabi powder - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook the soba noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  3. Spread the soba noodles on a clean kitchen towel and pat dry to remove excess moisture.
  4. Once dry, cut the soba noodles into 5 cm (2 inches) pieces.
  5. In a mixing bowl, toss the soba pieces with vegetable oil, sea salt, nori flakes, sesame seeds, and wasabi powder if using.
  6. Spread the seasoned soba pieces evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping the chips halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
