Shoyu Ramen
Shoyu Ramen is a delicious and savory Japanese noodle soup characterized by its rich soy sauce-based broth. This Halal version incorporates tender chicken and fresh vegetables, making it a perfect comforting lunch dish.

- Chicken breast - 200 grams
- Ramen noodles - 150 grams
- Soy sauce (Halal) - 60 ml
- Chicken broth - 500 ml
- Miso paste - 1 tablespoon
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Nori (seaweed) - 2 sheets, cut into strips
- Soft-boiled eggs - 2
- Baby spinach - 50 grams
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant.
- Add the chicken breast to the pot and cook until lightly browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add soy sauce, miso paste, and mirin, stirring until combined.
- Cover and let the broth simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the chicken to cook through.
- While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and slice it thinly.
- Add baby spinach to the broth for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- To serve, place cooked ramen noodles in bowls, ladle the hot broth over the noodles, and top with sliced chicken, soft-boiled eggs, chopped green onions, nori strips, and additional soy sauce if desired.
