- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves

- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
- Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
- Cucumber (sliced) - 1 small
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- While the chicken is cooking, toast the burger buns until lightly golden.
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun and layer with lettuce, cooked chicken, tomato slices, and cucumber slices.
