Ingredients
- Ground pork - 300 grams
- Fresh shiso leaves - 10 leaves, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shiso leaves, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, coconut aminos, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 2 cm thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the avocado and tomato.
- Once the patties are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To assemble the burgers, place each pork patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices and tomato slices, and wrap the lettuce around the filling. Serve immediately.
