Ingredients
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Fresh shiso leaves - 10 leaves, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Wasabi - 1 teaspoon
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Avocado - 1/2, sliced
- Green onion - 1, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped shiso leaves, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal patties.
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, in a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and wasabi until smooth to create the wasabi mayo.
- Once the patties are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- To assemble the burgers, place a cooked patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices, a dollop of wasabi mayo, and sprinkle with chopped green onion. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
