Ingredients

  • Shirataki rice - 300 grams
  • Water - 1 liter
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, peas) - 150 grams, diced

Steps

  1. Rinse the shirataki rice under cold water for 2-3 minutes to remove the packing liquid.
  2. In a medium pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add the rinsed shirataki rice and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a non-stick skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
  5. Stir in the drained shirataki rice, soy sauce, mirin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve immediately.
