- Shirataki rice - 300 grams
- Water - 1 liter
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, peas) - 150 grams, diced
Steps
- Rinse the shirataki rice under cold water for 2-3 minutes to remove the packing liquid.
- In a medium pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add the rinsed shirataki rice and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through, then drain and set aside.
- In a non-stick skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the diced vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
- Stir in the drained shirataki rice, soy sauce, mirin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve immediately.
