- Sake - 2 tablespoons
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Lemon wedges - 2 for serving
Steps
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and place them in a shallow dish.
- Sprinkle sea salt evenly over the salmon fillets and let them sit for 15 minutes to draw out moisture.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sake and mirin, then pour the mixture over the salmon fillets.
- Cover the dish and marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for an additional 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has a nice char.
- Serve the grilled salmon garnished with chopped green onions and lemon wedges on the side.
