Steps
- Rinse the Japanese short-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 30 minutes, and drain.
- In a rice cooker, combine the soaked rice with 240 ml of water and cook according to the rice cooker's instructions.
- While the rice is cooking, preheat a grill or pan over medium heat.
- Season the Halal fish fillet with salt, soy sauce, and mirin, letting it marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Grill the fish for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and flaky.
