- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms to the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and browned.
- Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil, mixing well to combine with the mushrooms. Allow it to simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing everything together to ensure the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and cilantro. If desired, sprinkle with red chili flakes for added heat.
