- Beef sirloin, thinly sliced - 200 grams
- Napa cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
- Shiitake mushrooms, sliced - 50 grams
- Carrot, julienned - 50 grams
- Tofu, firm, cubed - 100 grams
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Dashi stock - 1 liter
- Soy sauce - 30 ml
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- Rice (cooked) - 150 grams
Steps
- In a pot, bring the dashi stock to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add soy sauce and sesame oil to the stock, stirring well to combine.
- Prepare all the vegetables and tofu, placing them on a serving platter.
- Once the broth is simmering, season it with salt and pepper to taste.
- Using chopsticks, dip the sliced beef into the broth for around 10-15 seconds until cooked to your preference.
- Add the vegetables and tofu into the pot for a few minutes until tender.
- Serve hot alongside cooked rice, garnishing with chopped green onions.
