Ingredients

  • White fish fillet (such as cod or pollock) - 200 grams
  • Carrot - 50 grams, finely grated
  • Green onion - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Sweet potato starch - 40 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a food processor, add the white fish fillet and pulse until it becomes a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer the fish paste to a mixing bowl and add the grated carrot, chopped green onion, sweet potato starch, egg, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add enough coconut oil to cover the bottom.
  4. Using your hands, form small patties (about 5 cm in diameter) from the fish mixture and carefully place them in the hot oil.
  5. Fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.
