- Mirin - 30 ml
- Sake - 30 ml
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon (15 grams)
- Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Broccoli florets - 100 grams
- Carrot - 1 medium, sliced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki sauce.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the teriyaki sauce over them, letting them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the salmon is marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil and steam the broccoli and carrot until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Heat sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade and cook in the skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- In the same skillet, pour the remaining teriyaki sauce and cook for an additional minute until thickened.
- Serve the salmon on plates, drizzled with the teriyaki sauce, alongside the steamed vegetables. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
