Steps
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, coconut aminos, mirin, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add the mackerel fillets to the saucepan, skin side down, and allow to simmer for about 15 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fish occasionally.
