Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Gyoza wrappers - 4 pieces
  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns (kosher) - 2 pieces
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Divide the pork mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the pork patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the gyoza wrappers by folding them in half and pinching the edges to create a crescent shape. You can either pan-fry or steam the gyoza until cooked through (about 3-4 minutes for steaming).
  5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha to create a spicy mayo.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun, followed by a pork patty, a slice of tomato, some cucumber slices, and the spicy mayo. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with the gyoza on the side.
