Ingredients
- Ground pork - 250 grams
- Gyoza wrappers - 4 pieces
- Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Burger buns (kosher) - 2 pieces
- Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Divide the pork mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the pork patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the gyoza wrappers by folding them in half and pinching the edges to create a crescent shape. You can either pan-fry or steam the gyoza until cooked through (about 3-4 minutes for steaming).
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha to create a spicy mayo.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun, followed by a pork patty, a slice of tomato, some cucumber slices, and the spicy mayo. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with the gyoza on the side.
