Ingredients

  • Brown rice flour - 150g
  • Tapioca starch - 50g
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 200ml
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • Negi (Japanese green onions) - 100g, finely chopped
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150g, shredded
  • Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Dried oregano - 1 tsp
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown rice flour, tapioca starch, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Gradually add water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the dry mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
  4. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spread the dough into a round shape, about 1cm thick.
  5. Pre-bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until slightly firm.
  6. Remove the crust from the oven and brush the remaining olive oil over the surface.
  7. Spread the soy sauce evenly over the crust, then sprinkle the chopped negi and shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Sprinkle dried oregano and black pepper over the pizza for added flavor.
  9. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
