- Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 150 grams
- Scallops - 150 grams
- Fish fillet (e.g., cod) - 150 grams
- Tofu, firm and cubed - 100 grams
- Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki) - 100 grams
- Chinese cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
- Carrot, thinly sliced - 1 small
- Green onions, sliced - 2
- Napa cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a pot, combine the dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, sake, and salt. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add the sliced carrots and Chinese cabbage to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
- Stir in the mushrooms and napa cabbage, cooking for another 3 minutes.
- Next, gently add the shrimp, scallops, and fish fillet to the pot. Allow them to cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and opaque.
- Finally, add the cubed tofu and green onions, cooking for another 2 minutes to heat through.
- Drizzle with sesame oil before serving. Ladle the hot pot into bowls and enjoy immediately.
