  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 150 grams
  • Scallops - 150 grams
  • Fish fillet (e.g., cod) - 150 grams
  • Tofu, firm and cubed - 100 grams
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki) - 100 grams
  • Chinese cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
  • Carrot, thinly sliced - 1 small
  • Green onions, sliced - 2
  • Napa cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a pot, combine the dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, sake, and salt. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced carrots and Chinese cabbage to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms and napa cabbage, cooking for another 3 minutes.
  4. Next, gently add the shrimp, scallops, and fish fillet to the pot. Allow them to cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and opaque.
  5. Finally, add the cubed tofu and green onions, cooking for another 2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil before serving. Ladle the hot pot into bowls and enjoy immediately.
