- Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
- Baking powder - 5 grams
- Matcha powder - 5 grams
- Granulated sugar - 30 grams
- Milk - 60 ml
- Vegetable oil - 20 ml
- Sweet red bean paste - 50 grams
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, baking powder, matcha powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and vegetable oil until combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and flatten each portion into a disc about 1.5 cm thick.
- Place a spoonful of sweet red bean paste in the center of one disc, then cover it with the other disc, sealing the edges.
- Transfer the scone to the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the second portion of dough.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the scones are lightly golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
