Ingredients

  • glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
  • granulated sugar - 50 grams
  • cocoa powder - 30 grams
  • baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • milk - 120 milliliters
  • vegetable oil - 30 milliliters
  • vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • dark chocolate (chopped) - 50 grams
  • powdered sugar - for dusting (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small baking dish (around 20x20 cm).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chopped dark chocolate until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
