Ingredients

  • Jasmine rice - 150 grams
  • Mizuna greens - 100 grams
  • Vegetable broth - 300 ml
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black sesame seeds - for garnish

Steps

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
  4. While the rice is cooking, heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  5. Add the mizuna greens to the pan, stirring until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with soy sauce and salt to taste.
  6. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and gently mix in the sautéed mizuna and green onions.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with black sesame seeds.
