Steps
- Peel the daikon radish and cut it into 1 cm thick rounds, then cut each round into quarters to create triangles.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the white miso paste, mirin, sugar, rice vinegar, and salt to create a smooth marinade.
- Add the daikon pieces into the bowl and gently coat them with the miso mixture, ensuring each piece is well-covered.
- Transfer the coated daikon to a container, cover it tightly, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for deeper flavor.
- When ready to serve, remove from the fridge and sprinkle with sesame seeds before plating.
