- salmon fillet - 250 grams
- white miso paste - 2 tablespoons
- green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- garlic - 1 clove, minced
- panko breadcrumbs - 1/4 cup
- egg - 1, beaten
- soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - to taste
- burger buns - 2
- avocado - 1, sliced
- cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
- mixed greens - 1 cup
- mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium heat.
- In a bowl, finely dice the salmon fillet, then add the miso paste, chopped green onion, grated ginger, minced garlic, panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal patties.
- Cook the patties on the preheated grill or frying pan for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and the outside is golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by lightly toasting them on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, adding a salmon patty, followed by slices of avocado, cucumber, and a handful of mixed greens. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
