Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • White miso paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh basil leaves - 1 cup (packed)
  • Pine nuts - 30 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Parmesan cheese (or vegan alternative) - 30 grams, grated
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Mozzarella cheese (or vegan alternative) - 100 grams, shredded
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, white miso paste, and Parmesan cheese. Blend until smooth to create the miso pesto.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  4. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  5. Spread the miso pesto evenly over the pizza base, leaving a small border for the crust.
  6. Evenly distribute the halved cherry tomatoes and shredded mozzarella cheese over the pesto.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
