Steps
- In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil until well combined.
- In a saucepan, bring water to a boil, then gently add the eggs. Boil for 6-7 minutes for a soft-boiled texture.
- Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes to stop the cooking process.
- Peel the eggs gently and place them in the miso marinade. Ensure they are fully coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the eggs marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for a stronger flavor.
