Ingredients

  • white miso paste - 2 tablespoons
  • coconut cream - 100 ml
  • maple syrup - 50 ml
  • coconut sugar - 30 grams
  • vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • sea salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine coconut cream, maple syrup, and coconut sugar over medium heat.
  2. Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to simmer.
  3. Lower the heat and add the white miso paste, continuing to stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Allow the caramel to simmer gently for an additional 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving or storing in a jar.
