  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Sliced cucumber - 1 small
  • Sliced radish - 1 small
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced
  • Sriracha sauce - for serving (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, white miso paste, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil if necessary. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings. Slice the cucumber, radish, and avocado.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To assemble, place each beef patty on a large butter lettuce leaf. Top with sliced cucumber, radish, and avocado. Drizzle with Sriracha sauce if desired.
  7. Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and enjoy your Miso Beef Burger!
