Ingredients

  • Ground beef (kosher) - 250 grams
  • Matcha green tea powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns (kosher) - 2
  • Avocado (sliced) - 1/2
  • Cucumber (sliced thin) - 1/2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Wasabi mayo - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, matcha powder, panko breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil if necessary. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the burgers by spreading wasabi mayo on the bottom half of each bun, placing a lettuce leaf, the cooked patty, avocado slices, and cucumber slices on top. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
