Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 400 grams
  • Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade, gently tossing to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each cube.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the tofu is golden and slightly charred.
  7. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
