- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon

- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
Steps
- Prepare the ingredients: Cut the chicken, zucchini, and bell pepper into appropriate sizes for skewering.
- Skewer the chicken pieces, zucchini rounds, and bell pepper squares onto bamboo skewers, alternating between the ingredients.
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in one shallow dish, beaten egg in another, and panko bread crumbs in a third.
- Coat each skewer first in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally roll in panko to coat evenly.
- In a deep frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 170°C (340°F).
- Fry the skewers in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, then drain on paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, and sugar over low heat until the sugar dissolves, creating a sauce.
- To serve, place a portion of cooked rice in each bowl, top with the fried skewers, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
