Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 400 grams
  • Green onion (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg (beaten) - 1 large
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Teriyaki sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Wooden skewers - 4 pieces (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, green onion, garlic, ginger, beaten egg, panko breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a log around a soaked skewer.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  4. During the last few minutes of grilling, brush each skewer with teriyaki sauce to glaze them.
  5. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
