- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Sake - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
- Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Steps
- In a bowl, mix together gluten-free soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
- Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated beef onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the Kushi Gyu skewers garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
