- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Sake - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Wooden skewers - 4 to 6 pieces, soaked in water
Steps
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes, then cut it into 2.5 cm cubes.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Thread the marinated tofu onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each cube.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until the tofu is golden brown and slightly charred.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
