Ingredients

  • Chestnuts - 200 grams, cooked and peeled
  • Sweet potatoes - 200 grams, peeled and cubed
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Butter - 10 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Steam the sweet potatoes for about 20 minutes or until tender. Drain and allow to cool slightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the steamed sweet potatoes until smooth.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the cooked chestnuts, sugar, salt, butter, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring gently.
  4. Add the mashed sweet potatoes to the chestnut mixture and combine thoroughly, cooking for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
