Ingredients

  • Sweet potato - 200 grams
  • Chestnuts (cooked and peeled) - 100 grams
  • Maple syrup - 2 tablespoons
  • Coconut milk - 3 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Peel and chop the sweet potato into small cubes and place them in a pot of water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender.
  3. While the sweet potatoes are cooking, prepare the chestnuts by chopping them into small pieces.
  4. Once the sweet potatoes are cooked, drain the water and return them to the pot.
  5. Add the chopped chestnuts, maple syrup, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the pot with the sweet potatoes.
  6. Mash everything together until smooth and creamy, adjusting sweetness with more maple syrup if desired.
  7. Transfer the mixture to serving bowls and chill in the fridge for about 10 minutes before serving.
