Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
  • Red bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce leaves (e.g., romaine or butter lettuce) - 6 large leaves
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime - 1, juiced

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create a marinade.
  3. Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. While the tofu marinates, prepare the vegetables by julienning the carrot and cucumber, and slicing the red bell pepper and green onions.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add the marinated tofu, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and slightly crispy, turning occasionally.
  6. To assemble the wraps, take a lettuce leaf, add a few pieces of cooked tofu, and top with julienned vegetables and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
  7. Drizzle with lime juice before wrapping it up and enjoy your Korean-style Tofu Wraps!
