Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
- Red bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Lettuce leaves (e.g., romaine or butter lettuce) - 6 large leaves
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Lime - 1, juiced
Steps
- Press the firm tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create a marinade.
- Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the tofu marinates, prepare the vegetables by julienning the carrot and cucumber, and slicing the red bell pepper and green onions.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add the marinated tofu, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and slightly crispy, turning occasionally.
- To assemble the wraps, take a lettuce leaf, add a few pieces of cooked tofu, and top with julienned vegetables and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
- Drizzle with lime juice before wrapping it up and enjoy your Korean-style Tofu Wraps!
