  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 5 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Wash and slice the cucumber, carrot, and red radish into thin rounds or matchsticks.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine rice vinegar, water, sugar, salt, gochugaru, and minced garlic. Heat over medium until sugar and salt dissolve, then remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Place the sliced vegetables in a clean jar or container and pour the cooled brine over them, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  4. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
