- Beef sirloin - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Brown sugar - 15 grams
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Mixed vegetables (bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms) - 200 grams
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Gojujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Rice - 150 grams (uncooked)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green onions to create the marinade.
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and marinate in the mixture for at least 30 minutes, ideally 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- While the beef marinates, rinse the rice and cook it according to package instructions.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil to prevent sticking.
- Remove the beef from the marinade and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness.
- In the same pan, add the mixed vegetables and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- To serve, layer the grilled beef, sautéed vegetables, and a spoonful of gochujang on each lettuce leaf, then wrap and enjoy with a side of rice.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top for added flavor and texture.
