- Mirin - 15 ml
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger - 1 tsp, grated
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tsp, toasted
Steps
- Prepare the marinade by mixing soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Place the Kobe beef steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or griddle pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the steaks from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the marinade.
- Grill the steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your desired doneness.
- Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
