- Chicken thigh - 300 grams, boneless and skinless
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
- Mirin (or sugar-free alternative) - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
- Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- Wooden skewers - 4 pieces, soaked in water
Steps
- Cut the chicken thighs into 2.5 cm cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger to create the marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Season the skewers with salt and pepper to taste.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onion and black sesame seeds before serving.
