Ingredients
- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
- Avocado (sliced) - 1 small
- Sugar-free mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds (toasted) - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves by rinsing and patting them dry.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each patty onto a lettuce leaf, add a few slices of avocado, and drizzle with sugar-free mayonnaise. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
- Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
