Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
  • Avocado (sliced) - 1 small
  • Sugar-free mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds (toasted) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves by rinsing and patting them dry.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To assemble, place each patty onto a lettuce leaf, add a few slices of avocado, and drizzle with sugar-free mayonnaise. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
  7. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
