Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Radish - 4, thinly sliced
  • Avocado - 1 medium, diced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 10 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a non-stick skillet, heat a teaspoon of sesame oil over medium heat and add the tofu cubes. Sauté until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. While the tofu is cooking, prepare the vegetables: slice the cucumber and radish, and dice the avocado.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked tofu, cucumber, radish, avocado, and chopped green onions.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili flakes.
  6. Pour the dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
