Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Miso paste - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Nori sheets - 2 small, cut into strips (optional)
Steps
- Press the firm tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top.
- In a mixing bowl, crumble the pressed tofu and add the egg, almond flour, green onion, soy sauce, miso paste, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties.
- Heat sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the tofu patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Meanwhile, prepare the lettuce leaves and slice the avocado.
- To serve, place each tofu patty on a lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices, and add nori strips if using. Enjoy your keto tofu burger!
