Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80/20) - 300 grams
  • Cauliflower - 200 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 30 grams
  • Miso paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Sliced cucumber - 1/2 medium
  • Sliced avocado - 1/2 medium

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Steam the cauliflower until tender, about 10 minutes, then drain and let cool slightly.
  3. In a food processor, blend the steamed cauliflower until it resembles rice, then transfer to a bowl.
  4. Add the egg, almond flour, salt, and pepper to the cauliflower, mixing well until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape into buns. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. While the buns are baking, mix the ground beef with soy sauce, chopped green onion, salt, and pepper. Form into 2 patties.
  7. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the miso paste and mayonnaise to create the miso mayo.
  9. Once the buns are ready, assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a bun, adding cucumber slices, avocado, and lettuce. Spread miso mayo on top and cover with another bun.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy your Keto Sumo Burger!
